My sweet baby girl-
I am so happy to become your mom! I have wanted you from the moment I wanted to have a family! I love feeling your kicks, feels like little flutters in my belly! I already love you so so much! I can’t wait to meet you! Your blog is going to start a little different than your brothers.
It has taken me a little time to write a post for you because we had a stressful/scary beginning to your life. To make a long story short we had some genetic testing done because a test came back elevated for Turner’s syndrome. After 4 weeks of stress, genetic counselor, ultrasounds, and lots of blood work we finally decided to get an amniocentesis to rule out whether you will have Turners or not. So wecould be prepared but ALL tests came back negative!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness! We had all your chromosomes laid out and evaluated. YOU ARE PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!
The first trimester was pretty easy. I was never sick, I just had moments where I didn’t feel right and coffee didn’t taste good. But it does now, thank goodness! I was always tired but with your brother I had no time to really be tired. He is a wiggle worm…always busy!
How far along? 0-20 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: I have gained a total of 5 pounds so far. My doctor told me I was right on track for weight gain. I have never really gotten completely out of maternity clothes from your brother. They are so comfortable and with my two ventral hernia’s(from birthing of your 9lb 7oz brother) they seem to help not rub/irritate those areas.
Sleep: I go to bed really early. We put your brother down around 8pm every night and I let you listen to classical music for about 45 minutes every night and then I go to bed. So even though I get like 8,9-10 hours of sleep most nights I seem to always be exhausted.
Best moment this week: I had a 20 week ultrasound done and could see your cute little face, mouth, nose, chin, hands and much much more. Because my placenta is anterior your kicks are a little muffled and took me a little longer to feel. So within the last two weeks I have been able to detect them. Every week they get stronger and stronger! I love to feel them. Its the best feeling!
Miss anything? I don’t eat any meat any more so there really is no food that I can’t eat because I am pregnant so I would have to say my energy/sleep. Although I power through because I have to keep up with your brother.
Movement: I feel little flutters in my stomach that I know are you! It makes me smile every time I feel one! Keep kickin!!
Food cravings: This week I didn’t really have any cravings but maybe peanut butter MM’s 🙂
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope not that I know of.
Gender: You are a sweet baby girl!
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: No symptoms, I can tell my belly has grown. Its grown a little quicker this pregnancy than with Graham but I was told that is normal.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On, but don’t wear it unless I am going out because it tears the exam gloves I wear at our office.
Happy or moody most of the time: Feeling much better since all of the tests have come back normal and I know that you will be a happy/healthy baby girl. Your dad and I are trying to figure out a name and then a middle name. We have it narrowed down to a couple names and a couple middle names.
Looking forward to: Having my next ultrasound and also getting your room ready. I am going to do a wildflower theme with white furniture.
