Total weight gain/measurements: 25 pounds.
Maternity clothes: Yes, I am wearing only maternity clothes and filling them out nicely!
Sleep: Still is getting more and more difficult. I have had to start using melatonin to help me go to sleep. I think partly that Rick snores quietly and that I am tossing and turning most of the night.
Best moment this week: Getting more of the babies room organized. Rick helped me put stuff I didn’t need up into the attic, which was so helpful! We put his stroller together and installed his car seat. I think by the end of this week I will be pretty much done with organization and having all that I will need for him. I did notice that he has WAY too many clothes…he is not even here and already spoiled! haha!! Rick and I went to our first birth and labor class last Thursday. We both had mixed feeling about it because we really didn’t learn anything new. I feel that it is important just to go through the motion and get you mind and body in the “baby mode”. We will have two more classes and one breast feeding class.
Miss anything? Abdominal muscles and bladder volume, hehe!
Movement: Tons of movement.
Food cravings: Smoothies and pancakes…not sure why?
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Labor signs: No, feeling a little more pressure in my pelvis then usual. I am also feeling some pain in my vaginal area. I think it is just him moving down and my pelvis trying to give a little. It will be no time and he will be here.
Symptoms: My fingers are still really swollen which makes my finger joints hurt. I have also started to have heart burn again.
Belly button in or out? Pretty much an outie now!
Wedding rings on or off? I am wearing my wedding band only. I have just come to terms with leaving it on all the time.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy and moody, I have felt a little stress this last week just because I feel there is still so much to get done and the baby could be here at any day really. I guess I just feel more of an urgency and Rick feels like we have 3 weeks. Regardless, he is very helpful and we got a lot done this last week. We even installed the car seats in our vehicles together. It is surreal seeing the car seat through the rear view mirror. Next, we will take our vehicles to get checked out by the fire department to make sure everything is installed correctly.
Looking forward to: My ultrasound appointment is tomorrow to measure his growth. It will be interesting to see how he measures with ultrasound since my fundal height is putting me at 38-39 weeks when I am actually 36-37 weeks. I wonder if they would change my due date….doubt it!
Days to go: 22 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of swiss chard. He weighs around 6 1/3 pounds and is 19 inches long from head to heel.Spending the next two weeks in the womb allows his brain and lungs to fully mature. Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 in to 1 1/2 inches long.
