35 weeks

Total weight gain/measurements: 22 pounds…went on a little mini vacation with Adrianna and we didn’t eat very well. Back on the wagon:)
Maternity clothes: Found a few dresses that I really like, we will see which one looks the best with the sunset backdrop. Still trying to figure out a date to actually get pictures on. With my schedule, Rick’s and the photographer’s it has been a little tough figuring out what works.
Sleep: I am sleeping good still, when I am in my own bed. Went to the NC coast for the weekend with Adrianna. We slept in a bed that was not the most comfortable. With the lack of pillows and harder mattress equals tossing and turning most of the night!
Best moment this week: My sister visiting me! I needed it! It was so nice to have her here! Even though I had to work all week but it still was really nice for her to visit me! We got a hotel in Southport, NC. We spent a day on the beach just relaxing in the sun! Then on Saturday we took the ferry across to  Bald Head Island, NC. It is an island that doesn’t allow any motorized vehicles on the island except golf carts. We got to the quaint little island and rented a golf cart. We rode the golf cart all over the island. On the furthest side of the island we got into the water. The waves were beautiful! The water was really nice and it seemed you could walk really far out before it would get deeper. Interestingly, Adrianna nor I felt an under toe. After that we drove around more just looking at the sites. I really felt like we were in the south because due to all the moss growing on the trees. It was kind of like a movie. We had lunch and then had to head back to the main land. It was such a quick trip. It is definitely a place where I could see our family going and renting a house for a few weeks.
Miss anything? Picking things up off the ground without grunting! Also, catching my breath:) walking in sand is difficult then add pregnancy, goodness! #struggleisreal
Movement: Tons of movement. I really love the feeling!
Food cravings: I have been craving peanut butter and raspberry jelly a lot!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Symptoms: My fingers are still really swollen which makes my finger joints hurt. It is so weird because my feet haven’t swollen at all?!?!
Belly button in or out? Still, partially in and partially out.
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly, off…most days. I do try to wear my wedding band but even that is hard to get on and off. Fingers are the only thing swollen on me…weird!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, Adrianna helped me get my craft stuff put away. Not very likely that I will be making many crafts in a month, haha! It makes a little more room for his dresser and baby stuff up in our loft.
Looking forward to: I have another doctors appointment tomorrow. It is just a regular check up.
Days to go: 34 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a honey dew melon. He weighs around 5 1/4 pounds and is 18 inches long from head to heel. Because it is so snug in my womb, he isn’t likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number times he kicks should remain the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is not complete and he will take these next few weeks to putting on weight.

34 weeks

Total weight gain/measurements: 19 pounds and holding….but I am hoping to lose a few now that I am home and back on a routine.
Maternity clothes: Looking for a dress for my maternity photos, not sure I want to use the one I wore for my baby shower. I am on the hunt we will see what I find. Pictures were suppose to be last Saturday but it rained so it had to be cancelled. I haven’t rescheduled because Adrianna is visiting me this week and we have made plans for the weekend.
Sleep: I am sleeping good still. I have realized  that I use quite a few pillows. Interestingly enough I don’t wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I guess I do have a large bladder!
Best moment this week: I bought some more stuff off of my baby shower registry that I didn’t get but need. I purchased a baby monitor, bobby, baby clothes, car seat protector, wash clothes, baby towels and nursing bras.
Miss anything? Nope, feeling great!
Movement: Tons of movement. I really love the feeling!
Food cravings: No real cravings for anything!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Symptoms: No symptoms really, still sleeping pretty good. It is getting harder and harder to pick something off the floor….can be frustrating!! I have noticed a few episodes of heart burn…thank goodness for Tums!
Belly button in or out? Still, partially in and partially out.
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly, off…most days. I do try to wear my wedding band but even that is hard to get on and off. Fingers are the only thing swollen on me…weird!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, I am nesting more and more. Getting everything organized! It would have been nice to have all of my gifts in NC so I can really get an idea on what I have and what I need. Rick will be bringing everything that we got back when he comes home. He will be back around September 4-6th.
Looking forward to: I had my OB appointment. Everything went great! He is right on schedule with growth. The doctor said that his abdominal measurement was a little bigger than how far along he is but she said that it is normal. We never had the non-stress test done because all of my prior test were normal and that my blood pressure was normal. 118/70. My sister Adrianna is coming to visit for a week and a few days. Looking forward to spending time with her! We plan on going to Bald Head Island for Saturday Aug 27th for some fun in the sum/beaching it up! Can’t wait!
Days to go: 43 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a cantaloupe. He weighs around 4 3/4 pounds and is 18 inches long from head to heel. He fat layers, which will help regulate her body temperature once he is born, are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also rounder than ever. His central nervous system is maturing, and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If born after 34 weeks generally there is no health problems and he will do fine outside the womb.

How far along?  33 weeks

Total weight gain/measurements: 19 pounds. I think its mostly due to the two baby showers and the eating out I did when I was back in WI.
Maternity clothes: The dress turned out to be beautiful and perfect for what I needed.

Sleep: I am still sleeping good for being 33 weeks pregnant. Haven’t been able to sleep in much but I am sure that my body is just getting me ready for the long nights and early mornings!
Best moment this week: My two lovely baby showers. They both turned out amazing! I felt so loved. Everyone put so much time and effort into both. It was truly a special weekend!! A huge thanks goes out to everyone who helped! This baby is going to be so loved and spoiled!!!!!
Platteville Baby Shower
Milwaukee Baby Shower
Miss anything? Nope, feeling great!
Movement: Tons of movement, especially after I eat something! I wonder if it the increased blood flow of nutrients or if he can hear the digestion and that makes him move around….could be a mixture of both:)
Food cravings: This week I was not the healthiest eater just because of all the good food everyone made for the showers and the dinners out.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Symptoms: No symptoms really. I am very happy to say that this weeks post I do not have pre-eclampsia. Yes, it was a stressful last couple of weeks thinking I have either health issue. But I have tested negative for both! Whoop Whoop! Thank goodness!!!
Belly button in or out? So I would have to say that it is partially in and partially out.
Wedding rings on or off? Sadly, off…most days. I do try to wear my wedding band but even that is hard to get on and off.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, I had such a good time at both baby showers! Then Rick and I had a great time in Chicago for the day. It was perfect weather…not too hot or cold. Of course, I didn’t want to come back to reality but 6 more weeks and we will have a new addition to welcome. I can’t believe it! And I can’t wait!
Looking forward to: I am having a non-stress test ultrasound of the baby this Thursday (August 18th) just to see growth and to be extra careful. I am also having my maternity pictures taken this weekend. After a lot of research, I decided to go with Nicole Hanner Photography. She suggested sunset pictures so I am interested to see how they will turn out.
Days to go: 46 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a pineapple. He weighs around 4 pounds and is 17 inches long from head to heel. He is rapidly losing the wrinkled, alien look, and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren’t fused together, which allows them to move slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. These bones don’t entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

How far along?  32 weeks

Total weight gain/measurements: 17-19 pounds…bouncing back and forth.
Maternity clothes: I received the dress in the mail that I think I am going to wear for the baby shower. I bought it off of ASOS online. We will see.
Sleep: I am still sleeping good for being 32 weeks pregnant. I am experiencing some crazy dreams.
Best moment this week: Did some more nesting and organizing this week. I am starting to receive some of my baby shower gifts via mail, so I am just getting things organized. I am also working on a pretend “fire” made of felt. His room will have a tepee in it and I thought he would love to have a little fire to go with.
Miss anything? Nope, feeling great!
Movement: Tons of movement! It makes me giggle, he moves so much!
Food cravings: This week I was especially carefully about what I ate because of the impending 3 hour glucose test. I ate very healthy and hardly any processed food. Felt good! 🙂
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Symptoms: No symptoms really. I am very happy to say that I DO NOT have gestational diabetes. My test came back normal! Such a good feeling!
Belly button in or out? In but I know it won’t be for much longer, haha.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but some days it seems tighter than others?
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy and little lonely this last week. It has just really hit me that I am all alone down here in NC. As I am trying to get things ready for the baby, I just kinda wish that he was a little closer. I know that its for the better that he is there but I did have some moments where it would have been nice to have him here.
Looking forward to: My trip back to WI for my baby showers. I am having one in Platteville on Saturday, August 13th and another one in Milwaukee on Sunday, August 14th. It will be a quick trip but I am looking forward to it. I can’t wait to see my family and friends. I also received my 3D-4D pictures of baby and they turned out amazing!
Days to go: 56 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a jicama. He weighs around 3 3/4 pounds and is 16.7 inches long from head to heel. I am gaining about a pound a week and roughly half of that is going right to my baby. He will gain a third to half of his birth weight during the next 7 weeks as he fattens up for survival outside the womb. He now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair. His skin is becoming soft and smooth as he plumps up in preparation for birth.

How far along?  31 weeks

Total weight gain/measurements: 17 pounds and maintaining:)
Maternity clothes: The next round of dresses that arrived were too big but I really liked one of them. So I quickly went on the website and ordered it in a smaller size! I hope it fits better, can’t wait to wear it! I am hoping to wear it for my maternity photos.
Sleep: I love sleep! So glad that I can sleep decently for the  most part!
Best moment this week: Did  a lot of nesting this week. I received the bulk of my cloth diapers from green mountain diapers. The cloth diapers I showed you last week is more for newborns/ease of use. The bulk of my cloth diapers will be an outer shell with a Cloth-eez stuffer. The brand name of the diaper shell is blueberry coveralls. The diapers had to be washed and hung dry and the cloth-eez had to be washed and dried 4 times. I then stuffed all the shells that I have so far. I did order more because the size I purchased seemed a little big for a newbie baby.
Miss anything? Nope, feeling great!
Movement: Tons of movement! Sometimes it feels like he is trying to tunnel through! Cute ultrasound picture of his profile and the second picture is of him yawning (looks kind of like a muppet, lol)
Food cravings: I was craving thai food this week!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Symptoms: No symptoms really. My gestational diabetes test is August 3rd, can’t wait. I hope it was just a false positive.
Belly button in or out? In but I don’t know how much longer:)
Wedding rings on or off? On, with no problems!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, I really like getting everything organized, feels good! I have also had two 90 minute massages these last two weeks to help with the knots in my back and reflexology for my feet….heaven! They are SOOOoooo nice!
Looking forward to: My 4 hour gestational diabetes test. I test results were at 144 and to be considered normal, I was to be under 140. I have discussed this with a few people that have had similar results and because I barely tested over, they think I will be fine. I hope they are right!!!! I don’t want to have to test my blood sugars.
Days to go: 63 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a coconut. He weighs around 3 1/3 pounds and is 16 inches long from head to heel. He is heading for a growth spurt. He can turn his head side to side, and his arms, legs and body are beginning to plump up as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He is probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby’s kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that you baby is active and healthy.
