30 weeks

How far along?  30 weeks

Total weight gain/measurements: 17 pounds and trying to maintain that.
Maternity clothes: So they dresses didn’t fit, wahn…wahn. I have ordered two more so we will see. I also am looking for something to wear for me maternity photos. I have this idea in my head for flowy, long kind of whimsical looking but we will see what I find. I don’t want to spend too much money on it. I will keep you updated, haha!
Sleep: I am getting lots of sleep. Everyone that I talk to says sleep now because you won’t when he gets here! I found that a pillow between my legs helps but I don’t seem to use it all night. This last week sleeping was good.
Best moment this week: Baby rooms decisions….this week all my free time went into researching and deciding on which cloth diapers to use for the baby. It is such a tough decision because there are SO many to choose from. Also you won’t know how the baby will really fit into them until he actually tries them on. But then you have invested all of this money into something that you aren’t going to use. SO….I guess I just took this decision seriously and did a ton of research and I have come to find out that back to almost basic cloth diapering is the best way to go! My lovely mother cloth diapered my brother and me but back then they used the classic fold and pin cloth diapers. I am using something similar. The cloth diapers I have chosen are from green mountain diapers. The brand is called blueberry capri covers. It is basically a shell for the actual cloth diaper. You basically lay the cloth diaper into the cover and snap it around him. You can also use these little gadgets called snapis that help hold the cloth diaper onto the baby and then cover it all with the cover. These were the most logical and economical for our baby and babies to come. The reviews stated that these covers last forever. Here are some pictures of things I have purchased for his room. Can’t wait to see it all come together!!
I also bought a nursing chair, finally! I couldn’t decided for the longest time and then when I did, I found out that I have a time crunch…if the chair wasn’t in the store then I had to order it and if I had to order it, it would take 12 weeks to get it in! Well, that is not going to work because he will be here in 10 weeks!!! eeeekkkkkk! 🙂
Miss anything? Nope, feeling great!
Movement: Tons of movement! He is like a little kangaroo in there, bouncing off the walls! I should nick name him Roo! 🙂
Food cravings: ugh, cheesecake…I crave it….STILL!!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Symptoms: No symptoms really. My gestational diabetes test is August 3rd so we will see!
Belly button in or out? In but I don’t know how much longer:)
Wedding rings on or off? On, with no problems!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, I can’t believe that I have only 10 weeks left!!
Looking forward to: My 4-D ultrasound is on July 26th, can’t wait to see his cute little face.
Days to go: 70 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a large cabbage. He weighs around 3 pounds and is 15.7 inches long from head to heel. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will shrink as he gets bigger and takes up more room. His eyesight continues to develop, though it is not very keen; even after he is born, he will keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he will respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision – which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face.

29 weeks

How far along?  29 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: 17 pounds.
Maternity clothes: I purchased two dresses for the baby shower, excited to get them and see how they fit.
Sleep: I feel like I am sleeping the correct amount of time :8-10 hours but I know that I am tossing a turning, trying to get comfortable. I am probably making more out of it then is necessary. I really just need to get use to it!
Best moment this week: This week Rick came down and visited me. It was a great week! We went shopping for a breast feeding chair for in the baby’s room. I think that I have found one but I will shop around a little and see what else is out there. When we were shopping, Rick and I decided to rethink our stroller choice on our registry. I was so surprised Rick was so into this purchase. Haha. He was running around and testing them all over the store! He really made sure we choose the BEST one. I am really happy that we decided to get a nice one. It is a UPPA Baby stroller/bassinet/hamper all in one. With a few adapters it can hold two children! How exciting! Even better was on our way home, later that weekend, Rick found one on Ebay for 300$ off. I can’t wait to use it!

We also went to Wilmington, NC for some beach time! My aunt Lisa let us stay with her. The weekend was so relaxing!
Miss anything? Could have used a glass of wine while relaxing on the beach!;)
Movement: It feels like he doing cartwheels inside me…it makes me laugh! What is he thinking about?!?! 🙂
Food cravings: ugh, cheesecake…I crave it!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Symptoms: No symptoms really. I have my glucola test last week and the number was suppose to be under 140 and mine was 142. So now I have to go have a 3 hour glucola test done to determine if I have gestational diabetes! So frustrating, but I know its not my fault. It is just the way this pregnancy has affected my pancreas/sugar levels.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On, however, when we were in Wilmington it was SO humid that one day I could barely get them on.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, I can’t believe that I have only 11 weeks left!!
Looking forward to: Finding out if I have gestational diabetes. I am really trying to eat more complex carbs, protein and little processed sugar. I am also debating on whether or not to get a 4D ultrasound of him. It would be nice to see what he will really look like…I guess I just can’t wait to meet him!
Days to go: 76 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of an butternut squash. He weighs around 2.5 pounds and is 15 inches long from head to heel. His muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and his head growing bigger to make room for his developing brain. To meet his increasing nutritional demand, I will need to get plenty of protein, vitamin c, folic acid, and iron. And because his bones are soaking up lots of calcium,  I will be sure to drink my milk. This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in his hardening skeleton each day.

28 weeks

How far along?  28 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: 17 pounds.
Maternity clothes: I finally tried on the clothes an all of them are going back except one shirt. The clothes seemed very cheaply made and just not worth the money spent. Gotta love free returns!
Sleep: I have struggled to get comfortable this last week. I decided to re-try the pillow between the legs again and it seemed to help! I might have to invest in a body pillow at some point.
Best moment this week: This weeks best moment I would say is when I am playing the Nuryl music for the baby and he is just kicking away…I hope it is because he likes it!! I LOVE feeling him move, melts my heart!
Miss anything? Nope, nada!
Movement: Tons! ! I felt hiccups again! It is such a great feeling!! Can’t wait to meet him!
Food cravings: No real cravings, just trying to eat healthy.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Symptoms: I don’t have much to complain about but recently things are just getting sore. I have decided that I am going to get a prenatal message and see if that helps. I also started wearing compression stockings which seemed to help my heel pain. I am wearing them more preventative then anything because I haven’t noticed any swelling in my feet or legs yet;)
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, looking forward to seeing Rick this upcoming week! I sure miss him! I definitely have relied on him alot and now that he is gone it makes me appreciate everything that he does do for me!! Miss you Rick! ❤ ❤
Looking forward to: My doctor’s appointment next week Tuesday July 12th. I get to have my glucose levels tested by drinking this sugary drink! I hear it is not very good but I will have to drink it within 5 minutes an hour before my appointment.
Days to go: 84 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of an eggplant. He weighs 2 1/4 pounds and measures 14.8 inches. He can blink his eyes, which now sport lashes. With his eyesight developing, he may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. He is also developing billions of neurons in his brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life outside the womb.

27 weeks

How far along?  27 weeks
Total weight gain/measurements: 16 pounds.
Maternity clothes: So the clothes arrived that I purchased and I am excited to try them on but I am trying to get back in the routine of things, since my trip to Wisconsin. I love vacationing! haha who doesn’t??
Sleep: I am sleeping as good as expected, he is very active at night.
Best moment this week: Spending time with my family back in Wisconsin and having them see my ever growing belly.
Miss anything? Nope, nada!
Movement: Tons! ! I felt hiccups for the first time this week! Funny feeling!
My mom sent me a Facebook post about this father that had played classical music to his unborn son and as a new born until two years of age. Called the Nuryl. I have recently downloaded the app. I think that it is very important for cognitive development, which  can even happen in utero. We will see.
Food cravings: No real cravings, just trying to eat healthy.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Symptoms: I am getting some cramps in my back almost nightly but its only when I lie flat. My leg still has that one area of numbness but it doesn’t really affect me much so I have just kind of ignored it. In saying that, this pregnancy has been a breeze!
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, I had a great trip to Wisconsin! I did a little relaxing and some working. My grandma is having a reunion next weekend at her house and she had some chores that needed to get done. Rick, Rocky, my mom and I moved a bunch of decorative rock to fill in her rock beds. Help remove some huge rail road ties that were rotting an not longer needed in the area where my grandma had a garden for many many years. We also help clean out an herb garden.
Looking forward to: My doctor’s appointment next week. I get to drink a super sweet drink to test my glucose/gestational diabetes during this pregnancy.
Days to go: 91 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a head of cauliflower. He weighs 2 pounds and measures 14.5 inches. He is sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers. With more brain tissue developing, his brain is very active. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning – with lots of medical help- is he was born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements I may feel due to a case of the baby hiccups.
pic will be uploaded soon
