Total weight gain/measurements: Okay, no more drum roll. I gained three more pounds:} So if my calculations are correct, I lost 7 pounds when I found out I was pregnant. Since the I have gained all of that back plus 7 pounds…that is a  total of 14 pounds! Not bad! I need to keep it up!
Maternity clothes: All maternity clothes. I have been purchasing more clothes because the summer is coming and I need more flowy not so tight outfits. I am naturally a hot body but since I have a bun in the oven I seem to be warmer.
Sleep: I am sleeping as good as expected, he is very active at night.
Best moment this week: Nothing too exciting this week…since Rick is out of town I have been nesting. I finally received out dresser draw for the babies room. It was delivered yesterday….it looks so great! We plan on using it as a changing table, as well as a storage for diapers, lotions and clothes.
Miss anything? Not really missing anything.
Movement: Tons of moment! I have started playing some music for him. It was so cute! Last night, I played some lullabies for him and he would move more when the music was playing! So this morning, I played Eternal Flame by the Bangles. He, again started moving more! OMG, I was so touched! This is also definitely a best moment of the week!
Food cravings: No real cravings, just trying to eat healthy.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
First picture is of baby’s penis and scrotum(he is going to hate me for this haha)
Second picture is of his feet kicked back and crossed…just relaxing:)
Third picture is of his head, showing some hair! Can’t wait to see if its curly!
Fourth picture is a picture of his nostrils and lips(as if you are looking up into his nose)
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: Seems that once I get into bed I can’t lay flat otherwise my lower back starts to cramp up, so it seems that laying flat on my back is coming to an end. Regardless, I am still getting 9 hours of sleep a night and loving every minute of it.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy/sad, it is so weird not having Rick living with me. He is completing a traveling nursing position in Milwaukee, WI over the next 8 weeks. So I am officially on my own until then. I miss him so much but I know that this has to be the way things are for the next couple of weeks. It will go bye fast. In saying that, it has been a long time since I have been on my own, in a way it is kinda nice. I must admit…our apartment is much cleaner than it was:) 8 weeks seems like a long time but I am going back to WI for July 4th and he will come back to visit me at the end of July. So we will be seeing each other soon.
Looking forward to: Traveling to Platteville next week Wednesday for a long weekend. (Wednesday June 29th to July 4th) I have no real plans when I get there, except I want to get a pedicure:)
Days to go: 98 days to go! I can’t believe it!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a bunch of green onions/scallions. He weighs 1 2/3 pounds and measures 14 inches. The network of nerves in your baby’s ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear your voice and Rick’s voice as we chat with each other. He is inhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he is born and takes that first gulp of air. His testicles should begin to descend into his scrotum. This trip will take about two to three months:)

24-25 week ultrasound

Today is Father’s Day. I know Rick will be a great father! I look forward to this new adventure that we are soon going to embark on together! This last week Rick visited my work for lunch and we were able to do a quick ultrasound of the baby. He is moving so much that I really wanted Rick to be able to appreciate it. Here is a clip of our little man, we are so in love already. Hope you enjoy!! ❤

Total weight gain/measurements: Well, drum roll please…I only gained 2 pounds on vacation. I had my OB appointment on last Monday and my weight gain is perfectly on track. I do still want to eat healthy and I have started swimming laps in our neighborhood pool. I am really enjoying that!
Maternity clothes: All maternity clothes.
Sleep: I am sleeping as good as expected, he is very active at night.
Best moment this week: This week had a few great moments…can’t really think of a BEST moment. This week I decided that I need to start to officially change name. I have mixed emotions about it. I love my last name, HINDERMAN. I have had that name for 33 years and to just change it seems crazy! I really do like the name SALINAS! And I have never been the one to want to hyphen my last name because I do want my children and I to have the same last name. I am just sad to let it go! The process to change your last name is really time consuming! The people working at the social security office and the DMV are not pleasant people either, which makes the process even less fun. So far I have my new SS card and new license. I am in the process of changing bank accounts and registries next. Another great thing that happened is Rick brought me lunch last week and I was able to do a quick in office ultrasound with him being there…we saw the babies face and he was moving his mouth and all of his extremities. It was just so precious! Rick also felt the baby kick for the first time this week! At first, every time I would put Rick hand on my belly when he was kicking it seemed like he would stop moving. Finally he felt it! I think that this week it really set in that he is going to be a father with the ultrasound and feeling the baby kick. It being Father’s Day weekend made it all that more special!!

Miss anything? Not really missing anything.
Movement: Tons of moment and Rick has finally felt him!
Food cravings: Still enjoying orange juice!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: Sometimes when I move to quick to roll over in bed, I get a little twinge of pain but it quickly subsides.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, although this was a sad week too! Rick had to take a traveling nursing job in Milwaukee, WI for 8-10 weeks. He left yesterday early in the morning and it really feels lonely. We haven’t really been apart since before we were married for longer that 5-6 days. It just feels weird! I am hoping time flies and he will be home soon.
Looking forward to: Planning a July 4th weekend trip to Wisconsin to see all the families.
Days to go: 105 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a rutabaga. From head to heels, he measures about 13.5 inches. He weights about 1.5 pounds. He is beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he will start to look more and more like a newborn. He is also growing hair and if you could see it, you would be able to discern its color and texture.

Total weight gain/measurements: Well after the vacation I haven’t yet weighted myself. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning June 13th 2016. I am sure the will weight me then. I didn’t eat very healthy on vacation but we were very active most days. We will see:)
Maternity clothes: Almost all maternity clothes. I wore some t-shirts while on vacation and I had to continue to pull the shirt down so I knew it was covering my belly. Still love maternity clothes!
Sleep: I slept okay while on vacation. As I am sure you can understand, you are in a different bed (queen size, when Rick and I are use to a king) and pillow. My mom brought out my fan so we can at least have  a fan noise and air movement. It got pretty cold most nights which was very nice to sleep in. Overall good trip.
Best moment this week: We just got back from our Yellowstone National Park trip. It was great! The house we rented was beautiful, it was set perfectly on a valley with mountains and nature all around us. We saw so much wildlife just at the house alone! We traveled to Yellowstone which was about 45 minutes away from our house. We spent two full days sight seeing and hiking around. We visiting Old Faithful, mammoth hot springs, many hot springs geysers and saw the grand canyon of Yellowstone. It was all so picturesque! One of our first hikes we went on was to a waterfall called Pine Creek Trailhead that was suppose to be 1 mile hike to the waterfall. I struggled on this hike! I was so short of breath! I have never felt that out of shape ever before in my life! I know that the elevation and obviously being pregnant would affect me but I never thought it would as much as it did. Because of this I had to choose my future hikes/outings accordingly. I didn’t want to struggle like that again. All in all we had a great time, saw lots of bison, deer, antelope and a few bears!
Miss anything? Not really missing anything.
Movement: Tons of moment. My mom and sister even felt him move. I have tried many times to have Rick feel but it seems that the moment Rick puts his hands on my belly the baby stops moving, haha!
Food cravings: This trip didn’t help my diet. I am looking forward to getting home and getting back to a healthier lifestyle! No real cravings though!
Anything making you queasy or sick? No.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: No symptoms, my plantar fascistic didn’t act up at all on this trip. I really made an effort to wear good shoes while hiking and sightseeing! Steph and I both had cramps on the long hikes. I really just think it was our bodies saying that we need to relax and that maybe we pushed it a little too far. Once we rested we both felt fine.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: I would answer this as both but happy more then moody! I love spending time with my family! It was a great experience and a blast. I wouldn’t change anything! It was so good seeing my family and spending time with them…it was especially nice to see my nephew Gunner! He is definitely a daddy’s boy! He is so sticking cute!
Looking forward to: Just getting things in order for the up coming baby showers.
Days to go: 112 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of an ear of corn. He has gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at about 1 and a 1/3 pound. He is almost a foot long. He is still cut pretty lean but his body is filling out proportionally and he will soon start to plump up. His brain is growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing branches of the respiratory tree as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his airs sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

Total weight gain/measurements: When I first found out I was pregnant I lost 7 pounds in the first trimester. I have finally gained back all of that plus 3 pounds. That would make a total of 10 pounds. By this time in my pregnancy I am feeling good about this weight gain. I feel that I have gained all the weight in my belly…grow baby grow!
Maternity clothes: My wardrobe is almost all maternity clothes. I have tried to wear some t-shirts that I have pre-baby but they don’t completely cover my baby bump.
Sleep: Sleep is getting more and more uncomfortable but I feel that I am getting enough sleep for me and the baby.
Best moment this week: We set the crib up and got it all put together and it looks so nice. I am now waiting for buy buy baby to send us a new dresser. They one that I picked up weeks ago, one of the legs were broken. It is not fixable so they are sending me a new one. I also ordered a two dark grey pine tree decals for his wall and a faux gold antler coat holder. Best moments are just getting ready for his room and seeing it all come together!
Miss anything? Not really missing anything.
Movement: Tons of moment, mostly at night!
Food cravings: Nothing special, olives, orange juice, cheetos….lol!
Anything making you queasy or sick? No.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: I have a numbness of the right lower lateral thigh. I can feel pain but it just feels numbness. I can literally draw a circle around the area. Its about the size of my fist. I think the baby is just pressing on some nerves causing this. I am not too worried about it.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: I would say happy, Rick and I are traveling to Yellowstone National Park this Saturday June 4th to the 11th 2016. My family has rented a home in Montana for the week and are going to drive to Yellowstone and see the sights of the park. Neither Rick nor I have ever been there. I am very excited to go. I want to see Old Faithful geyser and other hot springs in the area. I also want to go on a few hikes. I know that I am pregnant and that it might be more difficult to do certain hikes but we will see. I will do what I can.
Looking forward to: My family trip to Yellowstone National Park/Montana.
Days to go: 117 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a large mango. His blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby’s increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now such as dog barking or vacuum cleaner will barley faze him when she hears them outside the womb. You can feel him moving and maybe even see him dancing under your clothes.

Total weight gain/measurements: Three pounds total. I am okay with it! Rick and I just watched  a netflix movie called Sugar Coated. I get so mad at our government officials and doctors that are lying to us by letting us believe/ingest things that can kill us. Give us the information and let us decide our fate!! UGH!! Since I can’t have an alcohol I have somewhat swapped out soda/orange juice to get a different type of liquid. But I have always known how bad they are for me! I am going to make some drastic changes in my diet not only for me but for my little one too.
Maternity clothes: Boy, maternity clothes are expensive! I went to the maternity store Two peas in a pod….it was super expensive! I walked out of it with nothing, Rick would be proud:)
Sleep: Sleep is getting more and more uncomfortable. I find myself more and more on my sides then flat on my back. On my belly is out of the question, which is of course what I prefer.
Best moment this week: I had this memorial weekend all to myself. Rick went to Vegas with some friends. So I had the whole weekend to catch up on a few things. I got a manicure and pedicure which felt so relaxing! For the babies room I am having a woodland themed room. I have been working on a woodland mobile for the babies crib. This weekend allowed me to catch up on it. I almost finished it and I must say that it is too cute for words! It took so much work but I love how it turned out!
Miss anything? Not really missing anything.
Movement: This week especially I felt a lot of movement! One night  he was still moving at 1 in the morning
Food cravings: Orange juice! But this will end because it has 22 grams of sugar. Crazy!  I would rather juice my own oranges.
Anything making you queasy or sick? No.
Gender: It’s a BOY!
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: I have noticed some numbing and tinglinin one area of my leg, which is weird. I asked my doctor and he said the baby could be pressing on a nerve. It’s not bad just noticeable. Sometimes when I turn over in bed I can feel my round ligament pull a little, which doesn’t always feel the best. But still a great pregnancy!
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: I would say happy, Rick might disagree because I have been nagging him lately to get him in the habit of picking up after himself, because when the baby comes we will be busy! It just doesn’t seem to sink in the quickest. It seems I am not the only wife that complains about this….haha! Oh, we finally put the crib together! I think seeing the crib put together really made a little more real for Rick. We both agree that it looks so nice!

Looking forward to: We are going to Yellowstone National Park next week, Saturday June 4th to June 11th. I have never been but have always wanted to go! I am so excited to see my family and just have a low key relaxing vacation. It seems like whenever we go home to Wisconsin we have like a million things to do, none of which is just sit and enjoy each others company for long. So I am really excited to do that.
Days to go: 124 days to go!
Baby development: Baby is the size of a spaghetti squash. He is about 11 inches from head to heel and is almost 1 pound. He is staring to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he is even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises still lack any pigment. He is also growing fine hair that will cover his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin. Inside his belly, his pancreas – essential for the production of  some hormones is developing steadily.
